U.S. natural gas production and demand will rise to record highs in 2023, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its Short Term Energy Outlook (STEO) on Wednesday. EIA projected dry gas production will rise to 103.72 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in 2023 and 105.13 bcfd in 2024 from a record 99.60 bcfd in 2022. ISLAMABAD:The World Bank on Saturday retracted its recommendation regarding taxing monthly salaries below Rs50,000, as fresh data reveals that the highly marginalised salaried class again paid more taxes than the combined taxes paid by the richest exporters and the real-estate sector in the past three months. ISLAMABAD: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday kept Pakistan’s economic growth forecast unchanged at 2.5% but slashed inflation rate to 23.6% for the current fiscal year, in a move that is largely in line with official projections. The global lender released its flagship report, the World Economic Outlook, at the start of annual meetings in Morocco.
